On November 16, 2025, the 10th Fur Fashion Expo and the 2nd Ceramics Expo grandly opened in Zhaoyuan Leather City. This expo was guided by the China Leather Industry Association, the China Ceramic Industry Association, and the China Animal Products Circulation Association, and hosted by the Fur Branch of the China Chamber of Commerce for Foodstuffs and Native Produce and the Shandong Leather Industry Association. It was organized by Zhaoyuan Leather City Co., Ltd., and relevant leaders from the industry associations attended the event.
At the opening ceremony, the chairman of the industry association pointed out in his speech that the fur industry is both a traditional industry with a long history and a dynamic industry leading fashion. Throughout human civilization, the fur industry has inherited the exquisite craftsmanship of ancient times while incorporating modern innovative elements, becoming an important carrier connecting tradition and modernity, manufacturing and consumption. In recent years, the domestic fur consumption market has developed steadily, the industry's resilience has continued to strengthen, and it has shown a stable and positive development trend, driven by innovation and change. The chairman emphasized that Shandong Zhaoyuan Leather City, as a core market for fur apparel sales in China, has been deeply committed to quality upgrading and brand building for many years. Sales of mink products have increased year by year, and its market reach and industry influence have continuously improved, making it one of the most influential five-star professional markets in China. He expressed his hope that industry colleagues would solidify the industry's foundation through green processing, connect with international trends through design innovation, and explore cross-industry win-win paths through industrial integration, jointly promoting the high-quality development of the industry.
During the expo, a seminar on the multi-dimensional integrated development of the fur and ceramics industries was held concurrently. At the meeting, relevant leaders of the industry association delivered a keynote report on "Analysis and Prospects of Industry Economic Operation," sharing the number of mink, fox, and raccoon pelts harvested in China in 2024 and the number to be retained for breeding in 2025, reporting on international mink pelt production in 2025, and detailing key data such as sales revenue, fur apparel production, profits, and imports and exports of key enterprises in the national fur and fur products industry from January to September 2024 and 2025. The report also encourages industry enterprises to increase investment in scientific and technological research and development and innovation, and to pursue differentiated development paths to empower the sustainable and healthy development of the industry.
