From October 31st to November 4th, 2025, the third phase of the China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair), themed "A Better Life," was grandly opened in Guangzhou. As "China's No.1 Exhibition," this year's fair focused on global consumer demand. The Ningbo Leather Industry Association fully leveraged its bridging role, organizing nearly 20 member companies, including Zonghua Company, Weikebo Company, Sixiang Company, Yongqian Company, Tianhou Company, and Lianpai Company, to participate as a group, showcasing the innovative vitality and manufacturing strength of Ningbo's leather industry and precisely connecting with global market opportunities.
The offline exhibition scale of this third phase of the Canton Fair reached a new high, with a total exhibition area of 515,000 square meters, 24,560 booths, and attracting 12,043 exhibitors, covering four core categories: apparel, footwear, bags, and stationery, becoming a core platform for global buyers to find high-quality suppliers. Ningbo exhibitors, focusing on the theme of "A Better Life," showcased a diverse range of products, including leather raw materials, fashionable bags, sports equipment, and environmentally friendly new materials, catering to various needs such as business commuting, travel, sports and leisure, and outdoor adventure. From retro-style handbags incorporating international fashion elements to waterproof and durable outdoor backpacks, and lightweight leather goods made with environmentally friendly materials, each product balanced aesthetic design with practicality, fully demonstrating the dual advantages of Ningbo's leather industry in R&D and manufacturing quality.
During the exhibition, representatives from the Ningbo Leather Industry Association visited each exhibitor's booth, engaging in in-depth discussions with company leaders. From the craftsmanship and material innovation of the exhibits to the progress of customer connections and order negotiations, the representatives gained a detailed understanding of the companies' exhibition needs and market feedback. They also analyzed new industry trends based on visitor flow, helping companies accurately grasp market opportunities.
Buyers from Europe, America, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Africa frequently visited Ningbo companies' booths, engaging in in-depth discussions on product details, customization needs, and cooperation models. “The Canton Fair allows us to directly reach global customers, enabling us to quickly capture changes in international market demand and gain overseas recognition for our independently developed new products,” said a representative from one of the exhibiting companies. The representative added that several lightweight and environmentally friendly bags they brought to the fair, combining practicality with sustainability, have already secured preliminary cooperation agreements with three European buyers, further strengthening the company’s resolve to increase R&D investment and enhance its core competitiveness. In addition to trade negotiations, Ningbo companies also engaged in extensive networking with domestic and international counterparts and upstream and downstream suppliers, exploring new possibilities in material procurement, process cooperation, and channel expansion, accumulating resources to improve their industrial chain layout.
Next, the Ningbo Leather Industry Association will use the Canton Fair as an opportunity to continuously track the order conversion and cooperation progress of participating companies, and promptly collect feedback from companies on market demands and development challenges. The association will further build an industry matchmaking platform to help companies expand into emerging domestic and international markets, while also promoting industry-academia-research cooperation and technological exchange, guiding the Ningbo leather industry towards internationalization, high-end development, and innovation, and providing more “Ningbo-made” solutions to meet the global demand for a “better life.”
