On the morning of October 28th, the 2025 China (Daying) International Fur Expo (the 34th China (Daying) International Fur Trade Fair and the 13th Daying Fur Culture Festival) grandly opened in Daying West Asia Fur New City, Zaoqiang County, Hebei Province. This expo focuses on innovation and collaborative development in the fur industry, with the theme "Creating New Opportunities, Connecting the World," bringing together domestic and international industry resources to build a high-quality platform for global fur trade and cultural exchange.
It is reported that this expo is jointly hosted by the China Leather Industry Association, the China General Chamber of Commerce, the China Chamber of Commerce for Foodstuffs and Native Produce, and the China Animal Products Circulation Association, with support from the China National Garment Association, guidance from the Hebei Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce, and co-organized by the Hebei Provincial Fur Industry Association, Hengshui City Daying Fur Industry Association, Daying West Asia Fur New City, and Daying International Fur Trading Center. Representatives from relevant industry associations attended the opening ceremony and inaugurated the expo.
As a major annual event for the industry, this expo lasted five days (October 28th - November 1st), encompassing exhibitions, transactions, seminars, and training, with a rich and diverse range of activities. During the expo, the 2025/2026 Autumn/Winter Fur Apparel and Accessories Fashion Show and product showcases from outstanding fur companies were held concurrently, directly presenting the latest design trends and product innovations in the industry; the 2025 Winter Apparel Ordering Fair remained open, building a precise supply and demand bridge for upstream and downstream enterprises; the Fur Industry Development Trends Seminar and Exchange Meeting facilitated in-depth dialogues on hot industry topics, providing suggestions for the future development of the industry; simultaneously, activities such as AI intelligent design promotion, fur industry e-commerce development seminars, and cross-border e-commerce business training further promoted the integration of new technologies and models with the fur industry, assisting enterprises in digital transformation and international expansion.
The expo's appeal reached globally, attracting merchants from Russia and other European countries, as well as Central Asia. Guests from well-known domestic fur industry clusters such as Tong'erbao, Xinji, Zhangjiakou, Haining, and Tongxiang also gathered to deepen regional cooperation and explore development opportunities through trade negotiations and networking activities. Statistics show that sales intentions reached 320 million yuan on the first day of the expo, demonstrating strong industry vitality and market potential.
Following the opening ceremony, on the afternoon of October 28th, an industry association inspection team conducted in-depth research at fur enterprises in Zaoqiang County, visiting Zaoqiang Shengmingyuan Fur Co., Ltd., Zaoqiang Dashengyuan Fur Products Co., Ltd., and Zaoqiang Hanqi Fur Co., Ltd. During the research, the team engaged in face-to-face exchanges with company leaders, gaining a detailed understanding of the companies' current production and operation status, product innovation directions, and current development challenges. They provided guidance to help companies overcome difficulties and contribute to the steady development of the local fur industry.
As the birthplace of fur and leather culture in China, Daying Town is known as the "Fur Capital of the World." It boasts two provincial-level intangible cultural heritages: "Daying Traditional Fur Making Techniques" and "The Legend of Bigan, the Ancestor of Fur." "Daying Fur" is also listed as a national geographical indication protected product. In 2024, the total output value of Daying Town's fur industry reached 21.6 billion yuan, with export trade value reaching 600 million yuan, demonstrating a solid industrial foundation and a complete industrial chain. The holding of this expo not only fully showcases the strength of Daying's fur industry but will also further promote its deep connection with the global market, injecting new momentum into the high-quality development of China's fur industry.
