2025 09/24

On September 23rd, the 2025 LINEAPELLE International Leather Exhibition officially opened at the Fiera Milano Rho in Milan, Italy. As a core exhibition for the global leather and related industry chain, the three-day event attracted approximately 1,100 companies from over 40 countries, including 653 Italian and 453 international companies. These exhibitors brought together high-quality suppliers in the fields of footwear, leather goods, clothing and gloves, furniture, and automotive leather, providing a high-end platform for technical exchanges, trend insights, and business cooperation.
The exhibition strictly focused on core products from the upstream of the industry chain, encompassing natural leather, synthetic materials, industrial textiles, leather accessories and components, and shoe models. Finished products were explicitly excluded from the exhibition to ensure resources were focused on meeting production needs. According to organizer FIERA MILANO, the exhibition is open free of charge to registered traders worldwide. Opening hours will be from 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM on September 23rd and 24th, shortened to 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on September 25th. This ensures ample time for business negotiations while also accommodating exhibitors' subsequent product preparation needs.

The Fashion Trends Zone, a key highlight of the exhibition, is concentrated in Halls 1, 4, and 7, showcasing approximately 2,000 innovative samples submitted by exhibitors. These samples encompass cutting-edge categories such as eco-friendly leather, functional synthetic materials, and lightweight accessories, visually showcasing the color, material, and craft trends expected in the leather industry for 2026-2027. After the exhibition, all samples will be transferred to the LP Fashion Studio in Milan, where they will be incorporated into a clearly labeled online database for long-term access by designers, brands, and research institutions worldwide, providing a reference for industry innovation.
To further deepen trend analysis, the exhibition held several fashion trend conferences on the first two days, conducted in both Italian and English. These conferences invited global leather industry experts, design agency leaders, and brand representatives to discuss topics such as "sustainable material research and development," "leather supply chain optimization under the circular economy," and "expanding the application of functional leather in the automotive and outdoor sectors," providing comprehensive guidance from trend prediction to practical implementation.

By the afternoon of the first day, thousands of professional buyers from Europe, Asia, and North America had already visited the exhibition. Purchasing groups from major leather producing and selling countries such as China, Turkey, and Germany were particularly active. Industry insiders stated that the LINEAPELLE exhibition is not only a bellwether for the global leather industry, but will also help exhibitors seize market opportunities during the demand recovery period and promote the industry's development towards greener, more functional, and more premium products.
