On October 25, 2025, the 2025 Hebei Wuji Eco-Leather Industry Exhibition opened in Wuji County, Shijiazhuang City.
This exhibition, the first professional event in the eco-leather industry held in Wuji County, Shijiazhuang City, lasted for four days. 156 exhibitors from Shanghai, Zhejiang, Guangzhou, Jiangsu, and other regions participated, showcasing products from various sectors including leather tanning, leather goods, chemicals, sofas, clothing, green home furnishings, specialty cultural and creative products, specialty agricultural products, and labor protection products. The exhibitors covered key links in the upstream and downstream of the eco-leather industry, comprehensively demonstrating the achievements of the industry's ecological, intelligent, and green upgrading.
Cattle leather is the largest leading industry in Wuji County. In recent years, the county party committee and government have continuously supported industrial upgrading and created new development highlands. They have planned and constructed a leather industrial park and a leather green circular economy innovation industrial base to high standards. After more than 40 years of development, a complete industrial chain has been built, encompassing raw material supply, R&D and design, production and manufacturing, and brand marketing. This has formed a comprehensive green circular economy system covering raw hide trade, bonded warehousing, chemical blending, eco-friendly leather making, deep processing, recycling, and inspection and testing. Wuji County's cattle leather industry is listed as one of the 107 key county-level characteristic industrial clusters supported by Hebei Province. Currently, there are nearly 300 related enterprises, including 89 large-scale enterprises, processing 1.1 billion square feet of leather products annually, with an annual output value of 34.8 billion yuan.
This exhibition is not only a platform for showcasing the latest eco-friendly leather products, but also a grand event for exchanging new technologies and discussing trends. During the exhibition from the 24th to the 27th, a series of high-profile events will be held, including the Hebei Province Leather Industry "Wuji Cup" National Invitational Tournament for Leather Processing Workers' Vocational Skills and the 2025 Annual Meeting of the Leather Industry Professional Committee of the China Leather Industry Association. Industry associations, experts, scholars, and entrepreneurs will be invited to discuss the present and future of the industry.
